 Synopsis

The Darkest Minds is a sci-fi thriller in which a young girl and a few others are plagued by a pandemic occurring called IANN. The survivors Ruby Dale and others are sent to internment camps on being discovered with special psychic powers by the government. One morning, when Ruby wakes up on her 10th birthday, her mother Molly is shocked and petrified when she discovers about the mystical psychic abilities of her daughter and has her sent to a government rehabilitation camp in Thurmond. After a gap of six years, Ruby’s superpowers have become more prominent making her the most powerful teenager getting classified as “orange”. But when the truth behind the powers of Ruby is uncovered, she is gripped into the trap of Thurmond where she meets Cate Connor, an anti-government doctor. Ruby and others try to escape a ruthless bounty hunter “Lady Jane” and locate a safe harbor for kids and survivors like them, discovering that the president’s son Clancy Gray, who happens to be the mysterious leader of the group has been cured of this disease. Now, Ruby and her mates realize that it is not enough to only be safe in a changed world like this, but that they have to struggle and make use of their super abilities to take control of their future.
