The Meg 2018 by Jon Turteltaub

 Synopsis

A formerly considered extinct creature “The Megalodon” comes back to life and attacks a submersible which is a part of an international undersea observation programme. An expert rescue diver Jonas Taylor starring Jason Statham is appointed by a Chinese Oceanographer played by Winston Chao to rescue the crew trapped inside the submersible in the deep blue Ocean of The Pacific. Jonas’s daughter Suyin starring Li Bingbing is against this, but Jonas who has encountered this prehistoric Megalodon before fights through his fears and goes on a rescue mission to save the trapped crew in the deep blue Pacific from this deadly creature.
