A Wrinkle in Time 2018 by Ava DuVernay

 Synopsis

Meg Murry is a commonplace center school understudy battling with issues of self-esteem who simply needs to fit in. The little girl of two widely acclaimed physicists, she is astute and remarkably talented, just like Meg's more youthful sibling, Charles Wallace, yet she still can't seem to acknowledge it for herself. Convoluting matters is the baffling vanishing of Mr. Murry, which has left Meg crushed and her mom despondent. Charles Wallace presents Meg and her kindred colleague Calvin to three heavenly creatures (Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Who) who have traveled to Earth to help look for their dad, and together they set out on their impressive journey. Voyaging by means of a wrinkling of time and space known as tessering, they are transported to universes past their creative ability where they should go up against an effective insidiousness compel.
