Searching 2018 by Aneesh Chaganty

 Synopsis

“Search” directed by Aneesh Chaganty is a psychological thriller depicting the story of a widower father David Kim played by John Cho who struggles to find his 16-year-old missing daughter Margot, played by Michelle La. After the demise of his wife, a heartbroken David is secluded from the reality and thinks that his daughter is doing fine only to one day discover that she’s missing. A local investigation is carried out and detective Rosemary Vick played by Debra Messing is appointed to find the missing girl. After losing all hope after a long 36 hours trial, David decides to look for his daughter starting from the place where all secrets are considered safe, his daughter’s laptop. This gripping storyline takes you through the hyper-modern lives that we live via gadgets and technology. In order to trace his daughter, David shall follow her digital footprints before she disappears forever.
