Skyscraper 2018 by Rawson Marshall Thurber

 Synopsis

Previous FBI operator and amputee Will Sawyer lives in the tallest and "most secure" high rise in Hong Kong with his family. The high rise itself, known as "The Pearl" houses a few stories that capacity as their own particular society and notwithstanding the dangers featured by Sawyer, who is the building's head of security, his managers demand that it is invulnerable. Consistent with Sawyer's conviction, the building goes under assault by psychological oppressors, compelling Sawyer to make a move. Matters are entangled further when he winds up confined for the assault, and his family caught over the subsequent fire line.
