 Synopsis

Reverend Ernst Toller (Ethan Hawke) is a lone, moderately aged ward minister at a little Dutch Reform church in upstate New York on the cusp of praising its 250th commemoration. Once a stop on the Underground Railroad, the congregation is presently a vacation destination obliging a decreasing assemblage, obscured by its close-by parent church, Abundant Life, with its best in class offices and 5,000-in number rush.
